Klondike Days Snowshoe Challenge sponsored by Waldmann Construction

Klondike Days 18th annual brings about the birth of a new event to capture the interest of our thousands of visitors - the "Klondike Days Snowshoe Challenge" proudly sponsored by Waldmann Construction.  New this year we have developed a snowshoe race that will run a course through the woods behind Rocking W Stables off Pleasure Island Road. We now have the capability of having a 1 mile, 2.5 mile race and a 5 mile race with the trails made available to the event. 

The Snowshoe Challenge will take place on Saturday, Feb. 16th with check-in being at 9:30 a.m., racing to commence at 10:30 a.m.  Racing categories will include Men's, Women's and Children's with prizes being awarded to the top finishers in each class. Pre-registration is a must. 

For those enthusiasts that would like to try snowshoes for the first time, we will have the Snowshoe Demonstration station set up close to the race area for your convenience. So, take some time to experience the mode of transportation used in the fur trade era.

Please come and join us - experience all that Klondike Days has to offer young and old alike.  The success of this newest event lies with you!
